New formats, not reruns
Instead of stretching Shorts into long videos, we developed new formats designed for long-form viewing.
From Shorts to long-form hits
Justin Flom's channel was built on Shorts. We built new long-form formats from his existing library, and the first two videos pulled in 1.5M and nearly 1M views.
Justin Flom's YouTube channel was built around Shorts. He wanted to add long form to the mix, and he didn't want to start from a blank page.
The idea: come up with new formats that put his existing library of content to work, then build long-form videos around them.
Format strategy, production, edit. One crew, start to finish.
Instead of stretching Shorts into long videos, we developed new formats designed for long-form viewing.
Justin's existing content became the raw material, so the channel's best material gets a second life at a bigger size.
Two videos are out, with more to come. A format is something you can run again, not a one-off.
Both videos performed very well. One reached 1.5M views and the other came in just under 1M.
A channel built on Shorts now has a long-form lane that works, and more videos are on the way.
